Hymn for barbara

I

When my feeble frame
Has to ruin been passed,
And my soul entire
Rise’n up whole at last.

And my eyes
Behold Thy beauteous throne
And my heart
Feels the glory of Home.

There will be no more fears that taunt me
No more tears that flow
Only that you know me
Is all that my heart doth hold.

II

Oh gnawing doubt,
With rav’nous appetite,
No more shall feast
On faith that shall be sight.

Thy Kingly frame
Thy fire, thy beaming gaze:
Such solid Truth,
Jesus shall pierce this haze.

There will be no more Death, no more wasting,
No more darkness of soul:
All the veil of unknowing
You tore when you made us Whole.

III

O Mystery,
Your Bride we’ve come to be:
And our greatest days
In coming age to see.

O Greatest Love
We cannot comprehend;
Such a sacrifice
The Only Son to send.

In his hands He holds me,
And In His gaze I stand.
There is no wrath to know me
For by His precious blood I’m plann’d.

There will be no more Sin to haunt me
No more won’dring how.
Only that You’re Reigning
Shall be our eternal now.
